Antiques Roadshow

One thing that I thought I would never have to worry about any more by moving from the UK to the US is the Antiques Roadshow.

I mean - it was so boring and a big waste of time. It used to come on on Sundays when we had nothing better to watch (before I went to church). It may have been more interesting if I was into antiques or if I owned some old things - but this was not the case. So watching people bringing in some old junk and someone saying it was worth £10,000 got a bit dull after a while.

Well imagine my surprise when I found it was one of Stacy's favourite programs!

It has caught my attention a few times. Some guy had a very old Gibson Les Paul guitar that was worth over $20,000 - which I thought was crazy.
I always wonder what happened to my time after I watch programs like that.
I need to resist! I need to pull myself away.

I need to say with Groucho Marx:

"I find television very educational. Every time someone switches it on I go into another room and read a good book."
